On 31st of October
2022, the CAA organized a 3-day workshop entitled “Professional Development for
Quality Assurance Leaders in Higher Education” and it was hosted by the
University of Dubai from the 31st of October to 2nd of
November 2022. The purpose of the workshop was to provide continuous support to
Higher Education Institutions, specifically in the quality assurance aspects
meeting the 2019 Standards and best international practices.
On the first day, Prof. Mohammed
Baniyas, Director of the CAA, and Prof. Eesa Bastaki, President of the University
of Dubai, opened the workshop and welcomed the attendees for their valuable
participation.
The workshop was attended by
representatives from CAA, an external expert as an ERT representative, and
quality assurance leaders and representatives from UAE Higher Education Institutions,
where the total number of attendees reached 80 participants.
The framework of
the workshop consisted of three components: presentations, discussions and
practical sessions covering the 2019 Standards, learning outcomes, risk assessment, academic integrity, and other internal quality assurance processes.
