In association with the Ministry of Education (MoE), in the beginning of the year 2020, the Commission for Academic Accreditation (CAA) launched a range of online Licensing and Accreditation related services for Higher Education Institutions (HEIs).
These services resulted in replacing paper Application by Online Submission per the
CAA Applications e-submission Circular (dated 25 March 2020).
To access the CAA online services, please visit the
Service Catalog, which contains a complete list of services provided by the MoE, including those provided by the CAA, in addition to descriptions of all services and related requirements.
The Commission considers the Online Application as the only approved method of submission of Applications of Initial and Renewal of Institutional, Initial and Renewal of Program Accreditation, and Substantive Change at institutional and program levels.
HEIs submitting an Online Application for the first time will need to
register for a new “General User – College/University” account to submit applications to the Commission. It is essential to read the Guidelines for accessing CAA e-services before starting the registration process. If the HEI already has an activated account, the HEI can log into the
MoE website using the username and password information that is associated with its records in the e-services portal.
The following guides provide information about the process that HEIs need to follow when submitting Applications to the Commission. The guides also provide information on Application key stages, requirements, documents, fees, and processing time. This is in addition to an overview of registration on the MoE website to access the CAA electronic services.
For guidance on how to prepare the documents required for the Applications, key dates, and assessment procedures HEIs need to consult the CAA
Procedural Manual.
